AOFAS Annual Meeting Is Upon Us

The American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) will host its annual meeting next week, Sept. 22-25, in Charlotte, NC. AOFAS President Bruce Cohen, Program Director Carroll Jones and Pre-meeting Program Directors Kent Ellington and John Kwon have a great program planned, loaded with interesting discussions.


Pre-meeting program highlights

Wednesday pre-meeting discussions on first TMT fusion fad or fiction will explore multi-planar correction of bunions with Bob Santrock, MD, one of the developers behind Lapiplasty. Total ankle discussions featuring Hodges Davis, MD, will put failed TAR into context. And Gregory Berlet, MD, will share his experience with industry relationships and how to develop your game to get into the development of implants and managing industry relationships.


Industry partners to visit

The foot and ankle industry is exploding with innovation and new technologies. Plan to check out Artelon and its fresh take on biologic reconstruction of ankle ligaments, Ossio and its integrative internal fixation technology and many others on the AOFAS exhibit hall.
