That's Not Going to Help Sales!
Media outlets with large audiences have been focusing on Crocs, and not in a good way.
Not enough support
A Health News from NPR segment featured opinions from Dr. Parthasarathy, DPM, who is recognized as a spokesperson for the American Podiatric Medical Association. She cautions that Crocs may not be the best option for all-day footwear. She says one problem is that Crocs are not particularly stable and this can lead to heel pain, arch pain, and hammertoes.
The response from Crocs
Crocs says its shoes are designed for everyday comfort, emphasizing that "the easy on/off design is what makes them a great choice for kids. We are unaware of any substantiated health complications with wearing our products.”
They’re still my favorite shoe in the OR!
