Meeting Season Is On

Gone are the days when you could sample foot and ankle content from different meetings. In 2024, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) are scheduled back to back, forcing attendees to make a choice.

First up: AOFAS Winter Meeting, January 25-28

The AOFAS hosts its second winter meeting as a sequel to the successful debut of its 2023 AOFAS winter meeting in Big Sky, Montana. Following the resort location theme and alternating between cold and warm locales, this year’s AOFAS meeting is at The Sandlebrook Resort, Tampa, Florida. Small and boutique is the feel of this one.

Batting Second: ACFAS, February 1-4, 2024

The ACFAS has successfully grown its Annual Scientific Conference into a robust educational opportunity across disciplines. This large-scale foot and ankle-focused meeting is at the Tampa Convention Center.

Who’s on Third: AAOS, February 12-16, 2024

The AAOS is by far the largest of these offerings covering the full spectrum of orthopedic care. With this scale, the meeting has a fixed rotation of large conference centers and this year the AAOS heads back to San Francisco, CA. Foot and ankle content is featured on most days of the conference, a must-visit at some point in your career.
