Dr. Ned Amendola MD, FAAOS, FRCS(C) from Duke University was named second vice president of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and will ascend to president in 2025-2026. Fellowship trained in sports medicine and foot ankle, this will be the first time a foot and ankle surgeon will hold this high office.
Dr. Mark Myerson MD, FAAOS received the AAOS 2023 Humanitarian Award for his work with Steps2Walk. An international volunteer organization, Steps2Walk provides both surgical care and education about foot and ankle deformities to globally underserved regions.
