Aging Superstar and Ankle Injuries

Last Sunday, during the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies game, Lakers superstar Lebron James suffered an ankle injury after Desmond Balle rolled into him during a play at the rim. While James was able to finish the game there were obvious flashbacks to the 26 games James missed last season from a similar injury.

Don't think the oddsmakers bet on another high ankle sprain.

Playing without the Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers were out of the playoffs in the first round in 2020 /2021 season. James's injury was a high ankle sprain and characteristically, was a slow recovery. He describes focusing on non-basketball recovery for the first two months of the summer, but made a strong recovery with the start of the 2021/2022 season. The oddsmakers must have believed he had made a full recovery when they set the team's odds at +4000 to win it all, behind only the Brooklyn Nets.

Not sure how many times this aging superstar will be able to bounce back from these ankle injuries.
